I've just got back from 3 days in Singapore.
I drove down from KL, meeting with the management of a durian farm in Johor on the way. I hope to provide details soon about field trials for biochar production and application which will be a collaboration between a local university and the durian plantation /processing company. More on this to come.
On Thursday, 8Oct, the National University of Singapore (NUS) hosted an informal gathering of biochar folk at their campus. This attracted a diverse group of local academics and industry interest.
NUS have suggested a biochar workshop as part of SET2016 Conference, identifying a slot on 22 July. Lets hope progress can be made before this date on establishing an active biochar group in Singapore. An email list is now circulating so let me know if you want to be part of this activity.
